Who We Are
Thompson Family Health Center offers family health care for children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric care. Also available are assistance in obtaining medicine, x-ray and laboratory services, patient education, and behavioral counseling. Counseling services are offered two days per week by a licensed Clinical Social Worker. Also available is the Telemedicine Program where patients can talk with a specialist from the University of Virginia Medical Center via satellite.
A Community Health Center is a non-profit private corporation located in a medically underserved area to provide comprehensive primary health care to anyone seeking care. All community residents have equal access regardless of ability to pay, geographic locations/residence, culture, age, sex, or religion.
The mission of Stone Mountain Health Services is to promote and provide quality primary health care that is accessible, affordable, and community-based for the people of Southwest Virginia.
