Who We Are

NW Works (formerly Northwestern Workshop) provides vocational training and employment opportunities for adults with disabilities living in the City of Winchester, Virginia and the surrounding areas. Each trainee is given an individualized assessment and Vocational Plan so that they can identify and target their employment goals. Workers are extremely low-income residents of the area and have one or more long-term intellectual or developmental disabilities.

In-house work, enclave work, job coaching, and supported employment are offered.  Working helps trainees lead more normal lives by interacting with co-workers, building self-esteem, earning their own paycheck, and contributing to their community rather than someone who solely relies on others.
