Who We Are
The Vision Rehabilitation program offers services to those individuals affected by a mild reduction in visual acuity to those with profound vision impairment. The program is staffed by occupational therapists with access to physical therapy and other ancillary services as needed. Clients receive an evaluation and individualized treatment plan tailored to meet their functional goals.
Vision impairment may occur as a result of congenital or acquired conditions. Examples may include, but are not limited to: age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, traumatic brain injury, and stroke. The functional limitations that occur as a result of the above conditions may effectively be addressed through treatment at our clinic.
Therapy includes an evaluation and the development of an individualized program to address those performance areas (i.e., self-care, work, leisure) most affected by the client's vision.
