Who We Are

Easter Seals offers a Military Respite program that is designed for Navy and Air Force families who have children identified as Exceptional Family Members, who are diagnosed with highly-specialized medical or educational needs that require long-term assignments near major medical facilities or locations that support continuity of care.



Eligible Navy and Air Force families can receive up to 40 hours per month of in home respite care services for children at no cost to the family. Respite care services in the Washington, DC area will be provided by qualified caregivers recruited and trained in special needs care by Easter Seals.

Must be enrolled in the U.S. Navy Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), be impacted by the Global War On Terror, and have a child under 18 years of age designated as category IV or V in the Navy EFMP.
