Young Terrace provides low-income housing to the residents of the city of Norfolk who qualify. Young Terrace has 746 units on 36 acres. Public housing, also known as subsidized housing or assisted housing, provides decent rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly and persons with disabilities. Housing ranges from single-family houses to high-rise apartments for seniors.
NRHA's Housing operations division administers apartments in 16 Norfolk neighborhoods and provides a variety of support services to help residents of public housing improve their lives.
