Skilled Nursing Facility

Virginia Beach Health and Rehabilitation Center provides skilled nursing care to males and females by professionals who work closely with the residents, their families and their physicians to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. Capacity is 240 beds. Offers medically complex services for patients who have stabilized beyond the need for diagnostic and surgical capabilities of the hospital but who still require intense managed, post acute services.



Agreement with Virginia Beach General Hospital, Sentara Leigh Hospital, Bayside Hospital, Norfolk General Hospital, Chesapeake General Hospital, Veterans Hospital, OBICI Hospital and DePaul Hospital. Dentist, podiatrist, optometrist and psychiatrist available.



Affiliated with Medical Facilities of America in Roanoke, Virginia. Comprehensive rehabilitation available.



Other services - planned individual activities, transportation to community outings, monthly birthday celebrations, dining, courtesy coffee and tea, 24-hour non restrictive visitation policy, voter registration, resident council meetings, daily housekeeping services, linen service, assistance with shopping needs, spacious lounges and day rooms, recreation room, private family party room, modified diets, lighted parking lot and walkways and full time recreational therapists. Additional services for a fee are beautician/barber, medications, medical supplies and physical services. Waiting period for private room.
