Health and Safety Education

The Hanover County Health Department offers community health education.  The program's primary purpose is to inform the public of existing or potential health or safety hazards and measures for furthering the early detection, treatment, or rehabilitation of people who have an illness, injury, or disability. 

The department also participates in the state wide car seat distribution program. Seats are available for children from birth to 8 years of age. The District receives a limited amount of car seats on a regular basis which are given to individuals who meet eligibility requirements.
