Housing Rehabilitation

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) provides a loan, a grant or both for individuals living in Chesterfield County.  Individuals must meet certain eligibility criteria, income and residence restrictions. Loan or grant may be used for housing rehabilitation, construction or installation for benefit of low-to-moderate income persons. Call for further information and eligibility.

This program also may have a loan or grant for community development, for such projects as sidewalks or to aid in prevention of slums.



The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership (HOME) programs receive grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) each fiscal year. The objectives of the Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnership programs are to benefit low/moderate income persons, eliminate slums/blight, provide for urgent needs and provide affordable and safe housing in the county.
