Who We Are
This program is an Emergency Behavioral Health Service that provides 24-hour crisis intervention for urgent, life-threatening situations. Provides evaluation of children and adults who have psychiatric disorders. Located in the Emergency Department at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Behavioral health counselors will meet with the patient to provide information and resources. Behavioral health professionals and psychiatric staff cam perform risk assessments for depression, chemical dependence, child or adolescent problems and dementia before determining the most appropriate recommendation for care. A patient can be referred by calling 804-947-3033 or going directly to the Emergency Department at Lynchburg General.
