Who We Are
The Department of Community Health and Family Medicine provides comprehensive, family-centered care to patients of all ages—from adult medicine to pediatrics. Family physicians also provide care to patients when they need to be hospitalized and coordinate the care of patients when they need to be referred to other specialists.
The Family Health Center’s (FHC) mission is to serve the health needs of the entire family with a special emphasis on health maintenance and disease prevention. Common disease entities encountered at the FHC include hypertension, deficient immunizations, asthma, diabetes mellitus, eczema, anemia, arthritis, alcoholism, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, HIV disease, hepatitis and depression.
