Who We Are
Dominion Hospital treats children, adolescents and adults who suffer from debilitating disorders such as anxiety, depression, delusions, bipolar disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, and such symptoms as school refusal, self-injurious behavior, and substance abuse.
As a first step towards help, a confidential assessment is available by calling the First Step counselors. The staff is knowledgeable about mental health disorders and about the various treatment options and corresponding levels of care. The information you provide will allow them to determine how to best meet your needs and discuss your options with you.
In addition to Inpatient Services and Partial Hospitalization Programs (for those who are able to function at home for short periods of time at home), Dominion also offers special treatment tracks:
- Dual Diagnosis--designed for those suffering from substance abuse as a secondary diagnosis,
- Self-Injurious Behavior--designed for those who are injuring themselves,
- Eating Disorders--focused on the adolescent population.
Dominion also offers as a treatment option ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) for a range of serious mental illnesses especially patients with severe depression.
