Who We Are
The Emery Work Bed Program (EWBP) is a program designed exclusively for homeless men who are employed or in job training. The EWBP can serve up to 100 men. The unique aspect of the program is that it provides a stable temporary residential environment for homeless men are employed. The typical emergency shelter program operates from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and when the men leave the facility, they must take all of their belongings with them. This is not conducive for men who are working and have no place to store their personal belongings.
The men at Emery are provided lockers and drawers to store their personal belongings. Supportive services include substance abuse counseling, job coaching, resume writing and employment placement assistance, housing placement assistance, computer lab, case management, and access to a kitchen to prepare their meals.
