Life Care Planning - includes guardianship and conservatorship for incapacitated adults, guardianship for children and persons with disabilities, estate planning for parents of children with disabilities, and special needs planning.
Estate Planning - handles all aspects of estate planning, including Wills, Revocable Living Trusts, Irrevocable Asset Protection Trusts, Financial and Medical Powers of Attorney, Advance Medical Directives, and Advance Care Plans, as well as more complex estate planning documents when appropriate.
Long Term Care Planning - Elderly clients are helped with the legal and financial issues surrounding long-term care, including finding, obtaining and paying for the best possible long-term care, whether at home, in Assisted Living, or in a Nursing Home.
Virginia Auxiliary Grant - Individuals in Assisted Living are given help to obtain the Virginia Auxiliary Grant if necessary to help pay for care.
Virginia Medicaid - If a nursing home becomes the only option, help is given to clients to find and get the best possible care while preserving and protecting their assets, including their homes, from the forced liquidation that is often required in connection with entry into a nursing home. When needed, the firm completes the complex documents required for entry into a nursing home and for Medicaid.
