Residential Services, Developmental Disabilities

Rockbridge Area Community Services offers four group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities. Group home residences offer the following services:

• 24-hour supervision by qualified staff;
• Medication administration;
• Transportation for residents to and from work, social outings and community related activities;
• Representative payee services;
• Instruction and support of daily living skills and physical needs (such as personal hygiene, dressing, laundry, appropriate social skills, communication, toileting, ambulation and participating in community based activities.);
• Monitoring health and medical needs (including scheduling and transporting to medical appointments, advocating for appropriate care, and maintaining routine care activities such as dental cleanings, annual exams and routine testing associated with aging;
• Opportunities to participate in Supported Employment and Day Support Programming;
• Work with support teams to develop, monitor, and discuss with each individual progress toward meeting goals identified in Individual Person-Centered Plans.
