Who We Are

The Center offers employment guidance, training, and placement services to job seekers and employers throughout the Metro-Richmond region. Information and referrals to community and partner resources are also available to the customers.

Job seekers can find phone, fax, copying services, computers to prepare a resume, cover letters, and other job search activities, including internet searches. Laser printers are available; TV/VCRs are available to use for self-directed instructions, as well as a tape library: reference materials and bulletin board of job opportunities received by area businesses.

The centers are repositories of information for businesses and the community to prepare for and find employment. Representatives of public workforce development programs, such as the Department of Rehabilitative Services, the Virginia Employment Commission, Senior Connections, Job Corps, and community colleges staff the workforce centers. The centers collaborate with Richmond's Career Advancement Center and the Crater Workforce Center on services for job seekers and employers.
