Galax Mental Health Support Program

At The Mount Rogers Community Services Board, Mental Health Supports provides a combination of intensive one on one training and support services to adults with serious mental illness and also to adults with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders. These specialized services are provided to individuals in their own home and community settings and are designed to promote stability and independence while also avoiding psychiatric hospitalization. Some services provided include: training in functional skills and appropriate behaviors related to the individual's health and safety, activities of daily living, medication management, financial management, and monitoring of health, nutrition, physical, and psychiatric condition.
