Who We Are

Crescent Halls is owned and operated by the Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing Authority. It is located at 500 South First Street, near the downtown Mall. The one and 2 bedroom apartments are independent subsidized housing units. Residents may apply for housing at the Rental Office of Charlottesville Redevelopment and Housing at 500 South First Street. Placement on the waiting list is determined by the number of preferences for an applicant. Screening is done for criminal and credit history. Rent is determined by total annual gross income and family size. Waiting periods are common.

There are some apartments that are ADA accessible. CRHA will provide reasonable accommodation, upon request, to provide assurances that persons with disabilities may fully access and utilize the housing program and related services.
