Charity Care Program

Sovah Health, Martinsville provides financial counseling to help patients gain access to government sources of medical assistance including Medicaid. We have an on-site State Social Services Eligibility Worker to help patients enroll in various assistance programs.



For patients who need emergency treatment and who are uninsured, the Charity Care Program provides financial relief to patients who qualify based their financial resources and/or income and the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The program may provide discounted or free care for patients who receive inpatient non-elective treatment and whose household financials and/or income are at or below the Federal Poverty level.



To qualify uninsured patients must complete an application and provide documentation.  Call 276-666-7656 to obtain a Financial Assistance Application.  For any remaining balance,n appropriate payment plan can be established.
