Who We Are
The Individual Development Accounts Program (IDA) is a self-sufficiency project that teaches adults how to manage their personal finances and develop savings. The purpose of this program is to help clients to open and develop special savings accounts which will be used to help first-time home buyers purchase a home, start a small business, or pursue a higher education.
When a participant has completed certain mandatory requirements, IDA will match the clients saving at a ratio of three to one. This means for every one dollar a client saves, IDA will match it with three dollars. Each participant must enough money to save each month and continue to pay monthly living expenses, have adequate credit, and have an adjusted gross household income no greater than 200 percent of Federal Poverty Income Level.
