Group Homes for People with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities

 Insight, Inc., the residential component of The ARC of Greater Prince William, offers homes for individuals with developmental disabilities. Group homes provide congregate living arrangements to a small group of adults with recognized developmental disabilities. Consumers receive primary care, which is comprised of room, board, and general supervision. In addition, they receive assistance training, and specialized supervision according to their individual support needs and preferences. Each resident is encouraged to be as independent as possible with daily living activities to achieve an improved quality of life through integration in community activities. Homes are located in the communities of Delaplane, Dumfries, Manassas, Triangle and Woodbridge.

Less structured housing support is also available for adults capable of living semi-independently in the community and who do not require 24-hour supervision. Individuals in the Supported Living program may live alone or with roommates in a house or apartment complex.
