Prevention Services, Children and Adolescents

At The Mount Rogers Community Services Board, Prevention Services are composed of activities designed to increase the development of positive life skills, promote physical and mental wellness, and strengthen individuals, families, and communities to reduce the occurrence of mental health and substance abuse problems. Prevention Specialists work in schools and communities by developing and implementing research-based prevention programs for preschool and school-aged children as well as providing educational classes to parents and families.
