Who We Are
The Heart of Virginia Free Clinic provides free primary medical care, prescription medications to low-income, uninsured adults. Services are provided to individuals without medical insurance (cannot have Medicaid or Medicare or private insurance) who do not qualify for free health care elsewhere in the community. Services are currently not provided to those over the age of 65.
Patients need to have an eligibility interview to be seen at our clinic. Eligibility interviews can be done in person at the clinic office on Wednesdays between 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Appointments are required..

Eligibility is simple: Proof of Local Residency, Household Income less than 300% of Federal Poverty Level, no existing health insurance, age 18 to 65.

Business Hours are 10 am – 4 pm Tuesday through Thursday. Clinic Hours are 10:30 am – 6:00 pm Tuesday
Intake Process
Make an appointment for an eligibility interview. Interviews are held on Wednesdays between 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. You must bring written documentation. The information needed at eligibility interview are: picture ID, verification of address, verification of income including check stubs, food stamp and other benefits letters, verification of birthday.
