Who We Are
Respite care offers temporary, short-term placement in a sponsored residential home for an individual who does not typically receive residential services. Without a break, even the most dedicated caregivers can become overwhelmed; respite care can provide much needed support during situations such as travel, vacation, and emergencies.
Caregivers are encouraged to use respite care on a regular basis so their individuals can become more comfortable and confident in this alternative setting. Additionally, DePaul can work with an individual’s family or friends who wish to provide respite care through an approval process, which includes a home study.
