Who We Are

New Freedom Farm in Buchanan County offers therapeutic recreation in the form of equine activities and programs for veterans, first responders, and their family members.  Unique equine programs for veterans and first responders with PTSD, substance abuse, or a traumatic brain injury (TBI) can interact with equines, farming, and peer-to-peer support.  The goal is to empower these individuals and help them heal through the realization of their efforts and contributions. Open to anyone in Virginia who is a veteran or first responder.

Programs include the Wild Mustang Program, Substance Abuse Support, Color Guard, and Community Service for individuals who are court-ordered to complete service.
