Commonwealth Catholic Charities (CCC) provides Rapid Rehousing Services for homeless families and individuals in the Greater Richmond area. Combining case-management services with short to medium-term rental subsidies, CCC works with program participants to build up the personal strengths and community supports that will keep them permanently housed.
The Housing & Financial Counseling Program offers mortgage delinquency counseling (free of charge) to anyone who is behind on their mortgage payments to help them with a plan to either retain their housing or transition. If funding is available with the program, limited assistance may be available.
If you are homeless and in need of assistance, the Homeless Point of Entry program is your first stop on the way to stability and permanent housing. No appointment is necessary.
When a client begins the intake process, they are interviewed by an intake specialist. The interview includes assessment questions to determine if additional services, such as healthcare, mental health services, and substance dependence treatment are necessary. Clients also receive short-term case planning that typically involves referral and coordination with other Richmond-area agencies. Referral and assessment services are provided.
Interpreter Services can be arranged when given advance notice and where resources are available.
