The Appomattox County Health Department has Environmental Specialists who work to protect the community through numerous programs such as: 

  • Onsite Sewage and Water Program 
  • Food Protection 
  • Rabies Prevention 
  • Permit Issuance for construction and operation of Migrant Labor Camps, Hotels/Motels, Bed&Breakfasts, Public Swimming Pools, Marinas, and other facilities
