Who We Are

World T.E.A.M. Sports beings together adaptive and able-bodied athletes and veterans for challenging bicycle and hand cycle journeys that honor and respect military veterans who were injured or disabled during their service.  The inclusive rides show the participating adaptive athletics that their sacrifices and dedication to their nation are appreciated by a grateful public.  The Face of America cycling challenge honors the sacrifices military veterans make in service to their country and the exceptional dedication and determination of adaptive athletes. Funds raised through donations from participants, family, friends, and colleagues support all World T.E.A.M. programs nationally.

Adaptive athletics build and renew friendships and create valuable social connections.  Encouragement and support from others can make a meaningful difference in an adaptive athletic's life, who sometimes struggle with circumstances beyond their control from injury, illness or genetics.
